My Story

 

I am a perpetual student and I value continuing education. It is my desire to know more, that lead me to a career in nutrition. I wanted to learn everything I could about improving my own health.  I never expected it would take me on this journey.

 

In 2013 I learned of some interesting facts about health, diet, and cancer and that is where my quest began.  I took to the library to take out every book on nutrition and the three leading causes of death and disease. Cancer, heart disease, and diabetes are the leading threats to our health and I wanted to learn as much as I could about how to avoid them with food!

 

After exhausting the library of information I took to the internet.  I found doctors that were reversing heart disease, diabetes, and even cancers through nutrition.  I learned about massive studies done on huge populations for years and about how many people were fighting these diseases through their diet!  But, that wasn't enough.

 

I had the opportunity to take my family on a cruise that would allow us to hear from and meet some of these amazing doctors.  It was life-changing.  

 

It was after that cruise that I decided I needed to learn more.  I enrolled at IHN to become a Holistic Nutritionist!  I had no idea that I would be learning about a lot more than food.  Nutrition Fundamentals, Preventative Health Care, Biological Chemistry, Human Anatomy & Physiology, Body Metabolism, Nutritional Pathology, Symptomatology, Herbal Medicine, Comparative Diets, Fitness Sports and Nutrition and that is not the full list!

 

It was a challenging course load but I am so happy that I did it.  I have a more holistic view of how to heal the body and I have graduated as a Certified Holistic Practitioner with First Class Honours.
